*band intros with upbeat song*
you: start clapping. get your groove on.
you: sway from side to side. pretend you got rhythm.

*band transitions into another upbeat song*
you: look around and see if anybody knows your secret – you have no rhythm.
you: think about how cool the song is.

*band goes into slower, worship song*
you: close eyes. focus on God.
you: now that you’re not clapping, find an un-awkward position for your hands.

*band continues*
you: don’t know lyrics? open eyes and look at screen.
you: memorize next line/verse. close eyes and sing from memory. it means more to God when you close your eyes.

*band builds to climactic chorus*
you: raise hands when climax hits.
you: you love this part. sing really loud.
you: “TAKE EVERYTHING, TAKE EVERYTHING…ALL OF ME.”

*band continues*
you: return hands to previously determined un-awkward hand position. rest arms.
you: be sure to raise hands for each chorus. (that’s why you rest arms during other verses).

Rinse. Repeat. Every service. Scripted worship.
