I need to pray more

Man, I need to pray more. I need God to give me the desire to pray.

I’m reminded of one of the Core Values at National Community Church which says:

Pray like it depends on God and work like it depends on you.

I’m infinitely better at the second part of that. I don’t know why, but I have just never been a prayer person. But I keep finding myself in situations where I realize the power and impact of prayer, yet feel so inadequate to pray.

I’m confident if I asked why does the Bible teach us to pray, it would be because prayer moves God.

Did you catch that Alex? Prayer moves God. That’s pretty impressive.

So if I wanted to make a difference and impact the Kingdom of God in a significant way, why is my natural tendency to do the heavy lifting with my hands and not my prayers?

I have something else I wanted to post, but I’m going to go pray instead . . .
