How God landed me in EDJ

You don’t make a two-year commitment lightly. Especially when that commitment involves full-time work without pay. And the cherry on top was the no dating policy. No dating for two years!!! You better believe there has to be some God involved to make that type of decision. ;)

No dating. Sheesh! Actually, that part of the internship wasn’t a big deal. The big deal was counting the cost of being a disciple (Luke 14:25-34). Was I willing to leave my comfortable life in pursuit of God? Up until the point I decided to join the internship, there were two main streams in my life: the 9 to 5 job and serving at the church. For a majority of people, that’s a perfectly legitimate place to be.

But deep down, I knew the cost would be more. What God wanted to build would require far more than what I was currently offering to God. So I had to make the decision. How much was I willing to sacrifice?

I wrestled with that question for a couple of months. And ultimately, I landed where God wanted me to be.

Everything.

It wasn’t just a matter of where I worked. It was a commitment of the heart.
